If Voting Made a Difference

Who said. “If voting made a difderence, they wouldn’t allow it”?

Well I went out in the stiff breeze and tilted at a Windmill.

But many have abstained. Some because they don’t care. But an umknown group out of despair. The establishment consider these people apathetic. Yet ironically it is the establishment that rejected them. But they can’t perceive how they could posdibly have let them down.

Some go as far as to say that voting should be compulsory. Which is a bit like me saying that everyone should join a snooker club. Such is their commitment to enforcing democracy, that they undermine democracy. Imagine being that blinkered.

Incidentslly; before the suffragette angle gets brought up. It was only about sixty years earlier than women winning the right to either vote or not. That men who did not own property achieved that same opportunity.

Some say, again erroneously. that should you not vote, You have no right to complain.

Naturally these insular and self serving people forget that we pay taxes. Funny really, considering how much moaning about taxation we hear at all other times. Yet people demand first class services. Odd but true.

So tomorrow we will know whether Farage, Mogg, Braverman and Abbott have their sears. Whether the media can release Corbyn from their stranglehold and whether that nice man who likes Roller Coasters will still be around.

One thing is certain. The media will make a fortune and have us at each other’s throats for another Parliamentary cycle.

Incidentally; North Korea has a ‘none of the above’ box on their ballot papers. Whether anyone dare fill it in, of course is a mystery to me. Nobody has said so. But at least it is there. Long live the King.
