On Christmas Day 2013 I came across a very good analogy by renowned cellular biologist, Dr.Bruce Lipton, in the film, “Crossroads”.
The age of the caterpillar is coming to an end and the age of the butterfly has begun.
The age of the caterpillar is an age of individualism, consumerism, war, competition and exploitation. Like the caterpillar, the aim is to eat the leaves on which we live.
The age of the butterfly will be an age of pollination; sharing, community, giving, co-operation, collaboration, inter-connection and ubuntu.
- Caterpillar – consumption
- Butterfly – renewal
On New Years Eve 2013 I came across the butterfly analogy in an even earlier film on biologist Elisabet Sahtouris’ web-site. of the butterfly.
