The caterpillar is a consumer, then the imaginal cells appear demanding change, antibodies attack them but eventually they win and the butterfly emerges.
Some are predicting that billions will die due to climate change, there could be a mass extinction, it is arguable that this is already underway. If enough people can adopt Butterfly Thinking and Action then the better world that we can all envision is possible.

Peoples March Manchester
21 September 2014 I was in Manchester today to take part in the Peoples Climate March, the event seemed to spring from the New York event that seems to have been organised to make the people’s feelings known to the United Nations summit on Climate Change taking place in New York shortly afterwards. The aim of the Manchester…

Trade Unions are for what
16/9/2014 The purpose of the trades union is to negotiate on behalf of its members for the best wages and conditions, of course the employers hire people to negotiate for the lowest wages and terms. I suggest that the purpose should be for a workers take-over of the work place, the business all work everywhere, this way…

Professionalism
16/9/2014 We hear in the press how doctors and Nurses are lacking in compassion, teachers are failing and Social Workers are ignoring danger signs. We also hear that the press invade privacy etc How true are these stories? Professions have professional standards determined by the profession itself. It seems that these failures are due to the state and other…

Pearls
The Paradox of Truth:Why the Greatest Teachers Spoke When Silence Would Have Saved Them “Cast not thy pearls before swine, lest they trample them into the ground and then turn and rend you.” These words carry a bitter irony when we consider their source. If Jesus had truly followed his own counsel, he might have…

Diggers Festival
Diggers Festival 2014 The train journey to Wigan was more or less uneventful, I half expected the trains to be busy but it was quiet. The only problem was the change at Stalybridge which was a bus replacement service. It turned out to be comfortable as well as timely enough for me to get a…

Apprenticeship 2014
The Modern Apprenticeship Deception:When Training Becomes Exploitation The word “apprentice” conjures images of medieval, Victorian or even twentieth Century craftsmen learning their trade through years of dedicated mentorship with existing craftsmen. Today’s reality tells a different story entirely. The Traditional Promise vs. Modern Reality An apprentice, by definition, is someone learning a trade from a…

Adulthood for sale
We’ve all seen them – those ubiquitous “Adults Only” warnings plastered across alcohol advertisements and tobacco packaging. They appear to be protective measures, keeping harmful products away from minors. But what if these labels serve a different purpose entirely? What if “Adults Only” isn’t just a warning, but one of the most effective sales pitches…

Currency Choice
Currency Choice: Money or Love? A reflection on work, purpose, and the ultimate currency of human fulfillment We stand at a crossroads that has existed since the dawn of civilization, yet feels particularly urgent in our modern age: What should drive our work – the pursuit of money or the pursuit of love? This isn’t…

Common Herd
Beyond the “Foolish Masses” Paradigm:Rethinking Power, Victimhood, and Resistance From childhood, we’re fed a comfortable narrative: the world’s problems stem from the foolishness of the masses. It’s a seductive explanation that places blame conveniently away from powerful systems and structures, pointing instead to the supposed ignorance of ordinary people. But what if this framing itself…

Right to Life
If one accepts that everyone has the right to life then it follows that everyone has the right to the necessities of life. What are the necessities of life? In society as it is organised today and for thousands of years previously the right to sustenance has not existed. It seems that society only accepts…

The Bankers Yoke
The Bankers’ Yoke: A Modern Conquest Nine centuries ago, the Norman Conquest transformed England under what some historians call the “Norman Yoke” – a complete takeover that imposed foreign language, culture, and control structures upon the existing population. Today, we find ourselves under a remarkably similar system of domination: the Bankers’ Yoke. “I don’t think…

The age of the butterfly
On Christmas Day 2013 I came across a very good analogy by renowned cellular biologist, Dr.Bruce Lipton, in the film, “Crossroads”. The age of the caterpillar is coming to an end and the age of the butterfly has begun. The age of the caterpillar is an age of individualism, consumerism, war, competition and exploitation. Like the…
