Freedom or Empire
Freedom or Empire, as the comedian Harry Hill might say; which is better? There’s only one way to find out. Fight!
Does either side of the argument support freedom or empires; empires that are willing to exploit ordinary people to death.
Freedom; a free domain, where the people are free to decide how things are operated, collaboration is encouraged and exploitation is discouraged.
Empire
The Middle East
What I see is that the UK and USA have intervened in the affairs of the Middle East for over 100 years so as to keep free access to low priced oil. Most of this intervention has been done to “stabilise” the Middle East resulting in continuous armed conflict.
In recent years public opinion has turned against the escalated actions undertaken. This has had an effect on Government decisions.
The UK Government was thwarted in its latest “stabilising” effort in the Middle East last year, this lead to the USA being thwarted also.
Since then a new terrorist organisation has arisen, apparently funded and armed by Western interests. This new organisation has been in the news conquering an ever expanding region and committing atrocities as it goes.
Public opinion is now in favour of intervention.
Now the UK and USA may resume their “stabilisation” because public opinion has been adjusted accordingly.
