The purpose of the trades union is to negotiate on behalf of its members for the best wages and conditions, of course the employers hire people to negotiate for the lowest wages and terms.
I suggest that the purpose should be for a workers take-over of the work place, the business all work everywhere, this way work will be democratised.

The principal of Right to Buy announced by the Conservative party recently to be extended to Housing Association tenants should perhaps, be extended to work forces so that they may take over their place of work as a workers co-operative – same logic?
